Stewart L. Lockwood
Mr. Lockwood is a corporate and securities lawyer with over 28 years of experience. His clients have included NYSE, TSX and TSXV listed companies and private investment enterprises with a focus on mining and resource industries. As an in-house counsel in the past, he has handled all the legal affairs of several reporting mining companies. Mr. Lockwood has extensive experience advising clients with respect to a wide variety of corporate, securities law and resource issuer matters and transactions including public offerings of debt and equity securities, plans of arrangement, mineral property options and royalty agreements, corporate governance, related party transactions, private acquisitions and divestitures, venture capital investments and private equity investment structures.
Mr. Lockwood is past Chairman of the B.C. Securities Commission Security Policy Advisory Committee, a committee providing security advice to the Commission and he has spoken publicly on a number of matters relating to mineral property agreements, securities law and private equity investments. Past experience includes over 3 years as a securities regulator and several years as Chairman of the Junior Mining Committee of the BC & Yukon Chamber of Mines. His continuing education has included several extensive mining and prospecting courses.
